The America-Nepal Friendship Society join the Office of the Comptroller of the City of New York, the Asia Society, the Jackson Heights Merchants Association, and the Federation of Kerala Association of North America in celebration of South Asian Heritage, honoring four South Asian-American community leaders, including Sonam Lama of the Nepali community.
